I don't know what's up with these.I was, and still am, disappointed in the lack of absorbacy.I even did things the right way. I soaked them for 24 hours before sending them through the washer & dryer; using only plant based detergent in addition to a vinegar+plant based softener.Absolutely no heavy detergents, no synthetic fragrances, and no traditional fabric softenerThis step is intended to maximize absorbency. In fact it is recommended that this be done for any and every towel you ever buy.This method has never failed me. Even with my other Turkish cotton towels.I bought two sets of these and so far I've only found one or two that are even SOMEWHAT absorbent.The rest of the towels just push the water around said surface.... very similar to how I used to push my peas around my plate in efforts to give my parents the illusion that I ate some. ? Smart towels huh?If you're looking to buy Turkish cotton towels I would recommend going to Etsy to find your ideal set. It'll cost a little more but that's how sustainable consumerism works
